It is common to find unwanted metallic and oxidation particles in magnesium. To also recycle and process this properly, we use emulsifying salts to safeguard the melt. This also applies to shredded magnesium, as it does to our recycling and processing of all grades of magnesium with the utmost of care.

Electrical devices are increasingly being rejected sooner

It is very important to also recycle magnesium as much as possible. There is more demand for this because, as we dispose of our electrical devices more quickly, we need new ones. What are the figures on this? Every year the world population disposes of more electrical devices more quickly, which gives devices an ever-decreasing life span. There is magnesium in these devices, something that is likely to become scarce just like other metals. We cannot continue to do this forever because this scarcity is becoming really serious.

Magnesium supplies are declining significantly
